Apply to participate in a teacher user group

Would you like to help the U.S. Department of Education curate math open educational resources (OER) for adults to be used by instructors across the country?

We invite you to apply for the Power in Numbers teacher user group.

Participants will identify, evaluate, and review math OER for adults in their own classrooms, to sharpen the skills of instructors and the students they serve.

  • We will select 20 teachers who are currently teaching secondary math to adult learners to identify, evaluate, and review 4-6 math OER in their classroom over 8-10 weeks.
  • Selected participants will receive support from program staff and experts in identifying OER and integrating them into their classroom plan.
  • Participants’ reviews will be posted to OER Commons and tagged for adult education to build upon the existing library of standards-aligned, accessible, and free resources.
  • Participants will be paid an honorarium of $750 for their completion of the role.
